She’s back! Rebecca More is back and on the hunt for the next slag superstar in the second season of the hit series Slag Wars. This season promises to bring more of the high-octane drama and boundary-pushing antics that have defined the series. Season 2 also follows the tragic death of Sophie, a beloved figure from the previous season and introduces some new and familiar faces with returning cast member Matthew Camp and Hot Haus winner Fantasia. The show, renowned for its unapologetic portrayal of the raw and gritty side of nightlife captivated audiences with its blend of fierce competition, vibrant, and unfiltered storytelling. We sat down with none other than the Cock Destroyer herself, Rebecca More. Scroll down for the interview.
What would you say the biggest difference between season 1 and 2 would be?
In a similar fashion to the sex industry, I think Slag Wars is going to changes and evolve each season and that will show up with the new contestants and this new energy. We’ve got all sorts of different characters and an absolutely awesome cast. I think it’s fabulous because what they’re experiencing now isn’t necessarily what I would have experienced, so we’re going to have some really interesting changes. The new cast blew me away with their talents and their personality and just getting to know each of them. I would say it’s like an evolution. Slag wars is always like the industry, it’s just going to grow and change like the world does.
How about the format? Are we still looking for the next Cock Destroyer this time around?
I feel like I don’t necessarily use the work anymore since Sophie is no longer with me. I’d say that we’re looking for the next “slag.”
What exactly is a slag?
Someone who is fearless. It’s showing up as your authentic self. Being sex positive goes without saying, and “slag” was a term used in England to describe a woman that sleeps about a bit. So we’ve sort of started to reclaim it and take it back. I’ve even got a necklace with slag on it. It’s all about taking ownership of the word, reclaiming your power and having fun with it.
Without giving too much away, what can fans look forward to this season?
Loads of entertainment and getting to know the new slags. I think it’s great to see a performer, somebody that works in the industry and get to know the human behind the the fantasy. That’s really sexy, do you know what I mean? I’ve always enjoyed that. You have somebody that’s on television, they’re your fancy, but then you get to know them. It creates a deeper relations between the person on camera and the viewer.
There’s been a bit of a break since season one came out, what have you been up to?
I would say I was on a healing journey. With Sophie, a relationship ended. I would be lying if I said that didn’t affect me. It affected me a lot. I’ve been getting myself to a good place, but my work is always really important to me. My sex work community has really helped me and I think we all in the community had a difficult time when Sophie and I parted.
After we broke up, I also started to have a creative block and that lasted for quite some time. When I got the call that there was an opportunity for a reunion with Sophie, I felt like I was ready. I wanted to speak to her, I wanted to see her. It’s also just such a fun show and I was ready to have a good time. The show was still fun to do, but there was this element without her, there was a sadness, which was quite difficult as well. So now, I’m healing again, and that healing may never really end.
What would be your hopes for the rest of the series going forward?
I hope we continue to provide a platform for more beautiful slags. These shows are important. It’s all about social media and raising awareness, so I want to keep providing a platform for sex workers and continue to create an impact.
That is what it’s all about! Would you say there’s a big difference between the American and British sex industries?
Well, when it comes to sex it’s all the same, but it really differs when it comes to the financial side. There are larger productions on the American side. There’s a bigger budget for parties where as here in the UK it’s kind of just a can of coke and a packet of crisps in a pub.
What does it take to become the next slag superstar? What three qualities are you looking for?
I would say the most important one is authenticity. Just be yourself. Don”t give a shit about being anything else and just show up. Work ethic is also really important. There’s a misconception that sex workers are lazy. We’re not. This is a full time bloody job! You’ve got to be your own hairdresser, your own makeup person, and most of the time you need to be your own camera and lighting person too. The most important quality should go without saying but you really need to have sex positivity. That’s what being a slag is all about. Do it on your own level. Don’t worry about what other people are doing. Find your strength and give it your all.
